British Army soldier jailed
A Fijian soldier serving in the British Army was jailed for five years after a quick-witted student whom he tried to rape tricked him with promises of willing sex and led him straight into the arms of gun-toting policeman. Irish guardsman S. Turaragaca, 25 had pounced on his terrified victim near Buckingham Palace. Initially she had struggled, shouted and screamed but later convinced him to have sex in her comfortable flat nearby. He had never suspected that the victim led him straight to Scotland Yard and reported the matter to policeman patrolling outside.
